It is the perfect everyday watch for anyone who likes to explore distant countries and keep an eye on the time at home. The second time zone is indicated by a discreet arrow hand that points to a raised ring with a 24-hour scale.
SECOND TIME ZONE
The second time zone is indicated by a discreet arrow hand that points to a raised ring with a 24-hour scale. This gives the black dial an additional layer with subtle light and shadow zones.
CERAMIC
ROTATABLE BEZEL
The bidirectional rotating bezel has a ceramic inlay – this emphasises its character as a sporty, robust everyday watch that is just as suitable for a trekking tour at the weekend as it is for a marathon meeting with the board of directors
The Teutonia II Chronograph is ticking proof of how to give an elegant timepiece a sportier direction. First and foremost, of course, this is a credit to the timekeeping function. After all, the totalizers of the hour and minute counters give the dial its own unique dynamic. The diagonally arranged displays for the date and the day of the week pay into the same account. The Teutonia II Chronograph lives up to its role as an elegant business watch with its elegant features. The indices are applied by hand and beveled on all four sides. The midnight blue dial has a fine ray cut. This plays with the incident light and makes the dial shine – sometimes brighter, sometimes darker – in different nuances. The polished D-bezel of the variant with a midnight blue dial is very straightforward and gives the chronograph a sporty character.
The Teutonia is one of Mühle-Glashütte’s best-known wristwatches. The successful watch family was introduced in 2002. Its latest member is the Teutonia II GMT, which informs its wearer of the exact local time and the time in a second time zone in a stylish green colour.
GMT
The 24-hour scale for the time zone is surrounded by the lower-lying area for the local time and also has a matt surface to differentiate it. In addition, the GMT scale has a light green 24 so that it clearly corresponds to the GMT hand of the same colour.
The name says it all: the Teutonia IV BlueMoon not only has a midnight blue dial, but is also the second Teutonia with a moon phase display. This is what the name “BlueMoon” stands for – which is also the name of the second full moon of a month. Due to the new placement, the diameter of the moon was able to grow to a proud six millimeters and appears as a true supermoon in the 39 millimeter case. We have lovingly imitated the small and large craters of the Earth’s satellite in the design of its lunar disk. In addition to its role as the second Teutonia with a moon phase display, the color scheme also reflects the name “BlueMoon”. The surrounding night sky of the moon disc is a dark blue and is broken up with small stars. The high-quality stainless steel case of the Teutonia IV BlueMoon has a diameter of 39 millimeters. This makes it perfectly suitable for both ladies and gentlemen.
Business watch par excellence: wearing a precise Mühle watch is a clear advantage when meeting important business appointments.Business people can rely on the new Teutonia IV Small Second with a dark dial. The case of this timeless business watch is made from high-quality stainless steel. As is typical of Teutonia, its centre section has a vertical cut that is applied by hand. The tops of the volute-shaped horns are finely polished. Beneath the dial ticks a SW 461-1, Mühle version with large “small seconds” and large date. The latter is around 30 percent larger on the Teutonia IV Kleine Sekunde than on comparable watches, ensuring excellent readability of the date. The dial of the Teutonia IV Kleine Sekunde is particularly harmonious when reduced to the essentials. This is also thanks to the SW 461-1, Mühle version. Its large “small second” allows a very balanced placement of the decentralised display in the clean dial.
Bright sunshine, cloudless skies: that’s the time to fly down the country road in a sleek Spider – or to test the limits of speed in a sporty Gran Turismo. No problem thanks to the Teutonia Sport I’s tachymeter function: related to a distance of 1000 meters, you can measure the speed reached with a glance at the red scale of the Rehaut. But even with its design in dynamic black and red, our sports chronograph feels right at home in an Italian sports car. Whether it’s the Nürburgring or the Sachsenring, the Teutonia Sport I is not only eager to measure the time needed to cover a certain distance, it would also like to translate it into speed. This is made possible by the tachymeter function of the sports chronograph from Glashütte. In relation to a distance of 1000 meters, the speed can be read off at a glance on the tachymeter scale of the Rehaut. Thus, the Teutonia Sport I is in its element wherever time measurement meets speed.
With its red and black color scheme, the first Teutonia Sport awakened the Italian in us. With the Teutonia Sport I “Clous de Paris” on our arm, we tend to see the legendary Silberpfeile racing past our mind’s eye. Here, of course, we are referring to the historic Grand Prix racing cars of the Saxon Auto Union. For with Horch, DKW and Wanderer, R. Mühle & Sohn supplied three of its four brands with the equally legendary Glashütte Mühle tachometers as well as car clocks and tachometers.
THE DIAL OF THE TEUTONIA SPORT I
CLOUS DE PARIS
“Clous de Paris” refers to
a particularly elaborate type
of guilloché or embossing of a dial.
Since here small pyramid-shaped elevations
arise, it is also called
“horseshoe nail pattern” in English. Taken quite literally
means “Clous de Paris” but “nails of Paris”.
An Alfa must be beautiful, a Maserati must be noble, and a Ferrari must be red. The Teutonia Sport II is all of these at the same time, proving that the fire and passion of great sports car legends can also burn in a functional timepiece “Made in Germany”. Almost as old as these traditional brands is Mühle-Glashütte’s connection with automobile manufacturing. For as early as the early 1920s, R. Mühle & Sohn manufactured speedometers, tachometers and car clocks. The “Bella Macchina” from Glashütte follows in the tradition of these instruments.
From the Italian Rosso Corsa to the unpainted body of the legendary Silver Arrows: There are three colors that rapidly quicken the pulse of automobile lovers. Two of these colors can be found in our Teutonia Sport II, proving that the passion of great sports car legends can also live in a functional timepiece “Made in Germany”.
From the Italian Rosso Corsa to the unpainted body of the legendary Silver Arrows: There are three colors that rapidly quicken the pulse of car lovers. The latest version of the Teutonia Sport II now manages to do this in a fine English way. Its dial and sporty leather straps feature numerous elements in British Racing Green – reminiscent of the most popular body color of British sports cars. The Teutonia Sport II thus reveals once again that the passion of great sports car legends can also live in a functional timepiece “Made in Germany. The classic window has been expanded into a semicircular date cutout. This balances the small seconds at 9 o’clock and makes for a particularly balanced dial. Very British: This also resonates with a certain distinguished restraint. The Teutonia Sport II’s Racing Green color is a perfect match: An accent, but by no means too flashy.
