Summer is not only the perfect season for sun, beach and fun by the sea – but also for wind, waves and fun sailing. And so the brightest colours are now cruising across many lakes and coastal areas. Our 29er Big is now also thrilling with a new colour combination in summery shades of blue and sand. The case of the 29 Big has a flank protector. As a sailing dinghy, the 29er is a one-design boat. This means that all boats are almost identical in construction from sail to hull. The same applies to the 29er as a wristwatch. Despite different case diameters, the 29er and the 29er Big are like identical twins. And not only in design but also in precision. As a sailing dinghy, the 29er is considered particularly fast, sporty and dynamic. This makes it the ideal namesake for our 29er models. The only difference is that we drive out any speed with our elaborate regulation – in favor of accuracy. The best example of this is the 29er Chronograph. In competitions, sportsmen and women will particularly appreciate its timekeeping function. Of course, this can be used not only for sailing, but also for horse and car racing or the 5000-meter run. The flank protection of the screw-down crown not only enhances the dynamic appearance of the watch, it also effectively protects the crown from lateral impacts. With the finely divided scale on the rehaut, stop times can be measured to within an eighth of a second. The round pushers for starting and stopping a time measurement (at 2 o’clock) and for zeroing the chronograph (at 4 o’clock) perfectly match the size of the flank protector. This way, you can’t bump into it anywhere.

The balance must be right. This applies not only to the 29er as a sailing dinghy, but also to the 29er Day/Date. When the wind is really tugging at the sail and the foresailor is hanging with all his weight in the harness of the fast racing dinghy, the right balance decides whether you win or sink. Equally important to us was the balanced relationship between the date and weekday display in the development of the 29er Day/Date. THE NAME “LUNOVA”

The decision has been made, the first step has been taken: anyone who has found his or her path and is going through life with both determination and an open mind has a clear view of new opportunities and possibilities. For all those who are then also concerned with the right watch-life balance, we have developed the Panova Blue. The name of the Mühle watch is based on the one hand on the word panorama and on the other on “via,” the Latin word for path.

THE NAME OF THE WATCH

The Panova Turquoise Blue exudes the charm of the South Seas: white like the narrow beaches of a small island, the hands coated with Super-LumiNova stand out against the turquoise blue dial. As if the white sand were shimmering through the flat sea or clouds were casting their shadows on its surface, this time appears lighter, sometimes darker. All those who now feel like going on vacation can be assured: Of course, the Panova Turquoise also shines with the excellent watch-life balance. To ensure that everything is in the green under the dial as well, the Panova has a proven SW 200-1 in the Mühle version. This is equipped with the shock-resistant woodpecker neck regulation and regulated so that its rate values lie between 0 and +8 seconds/day. The Panova is an all-around successful everyday watch and can also be ideally used as a vacation watch, to name just one example. The function and design of the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer were essentially shaped by the coxswains of the sea rescuers. The coxswains are the captains of the sea rescue cruisers and boats. In wind and weather, they perform their task of helping seafarers in distress. This practical orientation has resulted in a tool watch that is up to any challenge. Since 2002, the sea rescuers and Mühle-Glashütte have shared a tradition. In February of that year, the first S.A.R. Rescue-Timers were handed over to the DGzRS officers. The watch was developed together with them and tailored to the tough requirements at sea. The sea rescuers are usually on duty in rough seas. While their rescue cruisers and boats have always been highly seaworthy, many private watches have been damaged during operations. So in March 2001, we contacted the sea rescuers and proposed the development of a user-oriented watch that could withstand the tough conditions of use.
